Needless to say, we’re pretty obsessed with our city. Kansas City is just one of those special places that’s easy to love and very hard to let go — much like the amazing local products and places we share with you time and time again. Finally, there’s a week to help us celebrate just that: KC Local Week. And, it’s right around the corner.
KC Local Week runs August 17-23, 2015, and encourages absolutely everyone to take advantage of the amazing restaurants, bars and businesses right here in our own backyards. The challenge: eat, drink and shop local — and only local — for one week.
KC Local Week says:
Kansas City is surrounded by a community of growers, producers and entrepreneurs that are dedicated to keeping their products local and delivering them to their consumers. The goal of the KC Local Week Challenge is to introduce, or reintroduce, you to what the greater Kansas City community is offering its citizens. Commit to a level of involvement with which you are comfortable. Whether that is one meal a day or you go whole hog we want you to find out what Kansas City has to offer!
Need a few tips? We have plenty of those. Take a peek at these previous posts for tried and true ways to show your KC pride this week:
