Welcome to hump day — that very day in the center of the week at which you start daydreaming about Sunday’s brunch. The eggs. The bacon with syrup. The mimosas. Definitely, the mimosas.
Inspired by our latest experiment — hard root beer floats — I decided get my favorite weekend beverage dressed up for summer. The new patio-perfect concoction blends sweet champagne with juicy fruit flavors and a delicious cold treat that’s perfect for brunch or lounging around with friends: mimosa floats. Bonus points — they’re super simple.
Before getting started, gather your ingredients:
- Trader Joe’s Orange Peach Mango juice (or orange juice if you’re a traditionalist)
- Trader Joe’s Mango Sorbet (or an orange-flavored sorbet to match your juice)
- Prosecco or Moscato champagne
Then, drop a few generous scoops of sorbet to your glass.
Then, fill roughly three-quarters of the glass with champagne.
And, finally, complete your mimosa by adding juice until the glass is full.
Top with a fancy straw or stir stick for a quick whirl that is sure to keep your float float-y. Then, drink up! These mimosas are fresh, juicy and deliciously light.
