Basic Zucca Chip Recipe

Need a simple snack for the week (or even a basic recipe just to clear some zucchini out of your refrigerator)? Try this super simple zucca chip recipe for an easy, healthy treat for guilt-free munching.

Snag a mandolin to create slices at a perfect, consistent thickness.

Preheat your oven to 225 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment (this is key!). Then scatter your slices across the sheet.

Leave your chips plain or add a very light sprinkle of salt before placing in the oven. Note that the chips are very easily over-salted, so you may prefer to save this step until they’ve been dehydrated.

Slide into the oven and bake for 2.5-3 hours. Check them periodically to make sure they’re not being overcooked. Don’t fall asleep during this step — you might end up with slightly over-crispy chips like mine. Oops! Still tasty — but probably not what you’re after.

Remove from the oven, allow to cool and easily pop your finished chips off the parchment. Season to taste or serve with your favorite dipping sauce for an added punch of flavor.
