With an absolutely ridiculous grin, I’m thrilled to announce that you’ll soon get to peek at my design work behind the scenes. Over the years, thousands of projects have creeped across my desk. What you typically see is the end result. While it’s arguably the most beautiful state of the project, I genuinely love the journey of getting there. So, I’ve set out to showcase just that — how I design, create, write, code and market — in a brand new video series.
The design process is, seriously, an art. Unlike most artists, though, graphic designers and visual marketers rarely get to sign their work. That becomes the inspiration behind this new series. For the first time in my career, you’ll get to look at exactly what I see and the way I see it. You’ll watch each and every decision that goes into producing the ideal design. You’ll see every mistake and edit made to a fresh blog post. In just minutes, you’ll see everything I do — all day, every day — and the overwhelming amount of attention that hides behind every website, graphic, logo, book and so on. In the end, you get to see how I leave my mark on each and every project I complete.

I can’t thank you enough for the support and awesomeness you’ve all shared with me. Genuinely, I just hope that these clips provide you a little entertainment and kind of an awesome glimpse into my day-to-day. I can’t emphasize enough how rare it is that someone sees what I actually do — so this invitation into my world is seriously something special. I’ve worked with designers, developers and creatives for years — many of them are great friends and even they have never seen my design work behind the scenes. My monitor is a sacred place. A messy place full of mistakes and chaos. More often than not, I’m fixing errors or tweaking until its “just right.” No one really wants to show you their flubs — but, I promise, this is 100% transparent. Welcome to my happy place.
