We’re just a few weeks away from YFA Summer White Party at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and this year’s theme — When in Rome — has me over the moon with excitement!
In April, I spent a week in Rome exploring the sights, soaking up the wine and eating as much gelato as I could manage. Even with a couple days of fantastic shopping, I couldn’t find the perfect dress for the party while there — so I’m still stuck to find it now!
Well, I was.
Last weekend I met up with Kansas City stylist Jana Meister and designer Kate Nickols to take a look at some gorgeous white gowns that could break the mold. That’s where I found this amazing look (shown off by my new friend Christina).
This simple, flowing dress with an empire waist is exactly what I’d been hoping to wear to the Rome-themed party. Paired with additional simple jewelry and a floral crown — it’s absolutely perfect.
And what luck — Summer White Party will actually have floral crowns to wear! Pair the look with amazing entertainment by the Melker Project, a live band, open bar, specialty cocktails and themed bites — the whole night is going to be pretty incredible.
With the look picked out, there’s only one thing left to do: buy the ticket! Because I’m a Young Friends of Art member — my ticket will include exclusive access to a full one-hour pre-party with wine tasting — and I cannot wait! Time to snatch it up before they sell out completely!
Get your own ticket now at summerwhiteparty.org.
And, if you’re not a member, upgrade your ticket and get access to the pre-party when you join YFA today!
