KC Local Week is raging on with T-shirt Tuesday — but as any fashionista will tell you, those basics need some balance. When I need a fresh look in KC, I turned to my absolute favorite local boutique: Leawood’s Frankly Basic.
For three years running, I’ve loved visiting Frankly Basic. Not only is the team absolutely amazing and a joy to chat with as I shop, the styles feel as though they were hand-picked for me. Maybe because they (almost) are.
Those same great faces that listen to your styling woes and help you pick the perfect pieces every visit are the same style-focused jet setters that hit Market season after season to pull your perfect looks. They know how this fashion thing goes — and are beyond happy to help you look your best. They stock the latest trends, gorgeous palettes and perfectly paired accessories. And when you do need something more basic, they have that too.
In addition to beautiful clothing by leading boutique brand designers, Frankly Basic carries a number of brands and products that contribute to making a real difference in the world. That social awareness is generally pretty awesome. Whether you snag some beautiful TOMS booties for Fall or a gorgeous The Giving Keys necklace — you know part of your purchase is supporting those that could use a hand.
As if that all wasn’t enough (it totally is), why not also prep for cheering on our local teams with awesome KC-inspired t-shirts and tanks? After a winning weekend like we’ve just had, you’d better be sure to stock up for another great season in Kansas City sports — and Frankly Basic will help you with just that. I just picked up my own Chiefs-esque T and cannot wait to bust it out for the next Red Friday. Or, maybe I’ll just rotate it in to my KC Local Week T-shirt Tuesday.
