American Heart Association
In 2010, I created HeartSounds for the American Heart Association, a groundbreaking digital promotional package designed to support medical professionals in identifying and studying heart rhythms. This innovative disc set featured high-quality audio recordings of healthy and troubled heartbeats, providing doctors and healthcare professionals with a valuable tool for recognizing varied cardiac conditions. Distributed at the AHA Scientific Sessions, HeartSounds contributed to ongoing education and research in cardiovascular health. The design, flooded in bold red with abstract white linework forming a heart shape, reinforced the piece’s life-saving purpose. The impact of this work was recognized with multiple industry awards, including:
- APEX Award of Excellence
- AMCP AVA Award
- IABC Bronze Quill Award
- AMCP Hermes Creative Award
- Custom Content Council Pearl Award.
HeartSounds stands as an example of how thoughtful design and strategic innovation can drive meaningful change in healthcare.
