Moments from the sky

From the journal
As I travel, I keep a journal. This post is straight from the source – documenting the moments as I experienced them. It has been recorded on the blog on the date it was originally written.

I’ve talked myself through this ridiculous trip at least 1,000 times. I’m not entirely sure why it’s so different from usual – fear, anxiety, stress. I’ve felt them all.

We left my house around 4 am to get to the airport. Aaron dropped me off and helped with the bag. I was genuinely sad to see him go.

We’ve spent nearly every day together since August. It’s been so natural. Weirdly so. Leaving it behind, even only temporarily, sucks.

Here I am. 12+ hours later. 4 hours toward Abu Dahbi. Another 12 hours in the air left to go.

The other day, I realized this could be the end of traveling solo. Sure, Boyce is along – but it’s still just me in many ways.
